Located in Garlin, the Museum of Old Tools Gérard Hourugou offers you a permanent exhibition of more than 2,500 machines, agricultural and craft tools, objects and domestic utensils from the Southwest. 25 different trades are represented, such as baker, shoemaker, winemaker, miller..., which cover the period from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
Guided or free visits, in groups, families or individuals, are carried out by volunteers of the Association for the Renaissance of Antiquities, Knowledge, Local Cultures and Traditions, which collect and restore machines and tools. This museum allows you to satisfy the curiosity of all ages and welcomes school groups. Books on the old trades presented and thematic guides are on sale at the reception desk.
