Conférence sur l'histoire des jardins en Béarn à MORLAAS

Bilingual conference. On the program: the history of gardens and vegetables in the Pyrenean foothills from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. It will be given by Hubert Lassus-Pigat, one of the founding members of CLAB, which has just been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label. Using visual aids, the lecturer will take us on a journey through time. We'll discover the remarkable work of our forebears, who knew how to make the most of the diversity of our terroirs and grow the many plants and vegetables that have fed generations. It's a highly topical lesson, because it's here that we'll find answers to all our current concerns: the people of Béarn respected their land and passed it on, improved it, to the generations that followed.
At around 8:00 pm, the debates will continue over a friendly drink. And, why not, a few songs.
