©Tourisme Coteaux Béarn MadiranBuilt by the Viscounts of Béarn, the Church of Sainte-Foy bears witness to the importance of the town, which was then the capital of Béarn. It welcomed several Kings of France, including Philip the Fair and Louis XIV shortly after his marriage to the Infanta of Spain. A true jewel of Romanesque art, the carved portal depicting the Apocalypse according to St John lends the monument its full splendour.
