Aydie, promenade Jospeh Peyré, au coeur du vignoble
- on foot : 2h10 - Difficulty Easy
- Distance : 9.1km
- Vertical rise : 210m
- Public : Famille
Step 1 :
Leave the Place de l'Eglise car park and walk past the church, then turn left onto the Chemin de Poujo. A short descent is followed by a warm-up climb! At the top, in front of the estate, turn right and walk alongside a box hedge. Go down the farm track and enter the lower corner of a vineyard before the crow's feet. A track follows the rows of vines and returns to a road. Turn right and go down to the stream, cross it and go round the vineyard anticlockwise. Go up to the farm and cross it. Climb the next track on the right. At the top, turn right onto the road (take care) and at the farm enter the vineyards on a wide driveway on the left. Keep to the right until you reach a wide opening between the rows of vines. Reach the lake through this sloping opening. Border the lake on the left, and cross the reservoir to the intersection.Step 2 :
Take the track on the left, and continue climbing after the right-hand hairpin bend. At the T-junction, keep going left. The view over the vineyards is splendid. An unexpectedly pleasant scent of pine adds to the mountain atmosphere! Once at the top of the hill, turn left and begin the descent. After a right-hand bend at the corner of a copse, turn right onto a rising track. Stay on the track, which follows the vines and plunges to the bottom of the valley. Leave the path on the right and climb the track to the château. Cross the road carefully.Step 3 :
Do not take the driveway opposite, go towards the buildings on the right. After the farm, go down to the left along the vineyard. Follow this path along and through the plots of land. When you reach the road, go back up to the left and arrive at Aydie.
