Itinerary
  • Step 1 :

From Lac de Cadillon, join the D13 and turn right (be careful of traffic). Take the first turning on the left, and as you go downhill, take a footpath on the left. After this fun stretch, go down to the T-junction and turn right. Drive to the foot of the hill, first on tarmac, then on a track opposite. At the end of the track, climb the hill and on the D13, go left, then right. The track descends and just before the ford, climb the embankment on the left and drive along the grassy strip. Once on the track, head back up towards Conchez-de-Béarn. Watch out for traffic as you cross the D13.
  • Step 2 :

Leave the village and turn left onto the D13. At the corner of a vineyard, go down Chemin Jegun, and at a house, turn left towards the pond. After the pond, turn right through the vines and walk down past the barn. Cross the D13 and after the pumping station, turn right into the woods. After a strenuous climb, you can take the path up to the Mont-Durou lookout point. To do this, turn left and climb up behind the house.
  • Step 3 :

Back on Chemin Marigat, go straight ahead at the crossroads and climb to the top of the hill. Continue for 2.5 km and turn left at the corner of a vineyard onto a grassy path. Cross the Libet stream and wind down to the road. Follow the road to the left and ignore the intersection. Before the bend, turn left onto a track. Follow the ridge down to Saubole. Turn right immediately after the house, then right onto the road. Go up to the Domaine du Crampilh and enter the vineyard above the château. Go around the entire plot and exit at the top at the park between two houses. Join the Aurions-Idernes road.
  • Step 4 :

Cadillon Lake Cross the D219 and descend the valley. Go up and follow the road twice to the right, then continue along the ridge. Turn left onto the D219, then right after the farm. After the pond, keep to the left and plunge down towards Lac de Cadillon. Walk around the lake to reach the car park.
