An easy walk, between Miossens and Lalonquette by the slopes of Gabas. You will walk along grassy paths through the Gabas valley. Stream to the edge of the Gabas, edge of the wooded banks, you will also take a stony track to the mill, and enjoy the chapel of Lanusse and the top of the hillside.
Itinerary
  • Step 1 :

    From the car park at the town hall and gymnasium, take the tarmac road south, then turn left onto a narrow road, and 150 metres further on, turn left again onto a grassy path. When you reach the tarmac road, turn right and then immediately left onto the stony path leading down into the Gabas valley.
  • Step 2 :

    Turn right onto the road leading to the plain, pass under the A65 bridge, then turn left after the Moncade stream bridge. Follow the stream bank to the outskirts of Gabas, then turn right at the edge of the wooded bank, take the gravel track to the mill, then turn right onto the road towards the Lanusse chapel.
  • Step 3 :

    At the crossroads by the chapel, go straight ahead to climb the hill, then at the top, descend to cross the small wooded valley of the Las Grabes stream and climb back up to the plateau. Turn right to cross the bridge over the A65 motorway.
  • Step 4 :

    Turn right 750 metres after the A65 bridge, then left to walk along the top of the hill, and return to Lalonquette staying on the main road.
  • Step 5 :

    Turn left onto the Cassouret path for 200 metres, then right to return to the starting point.
