In a peaceful valley, this small hike, ideal for families with children, allows you to go around the lake of Serres-Castet. Taking advantage of all the orientations, you will contemplate multiple plays of lights on the stretch of water. The lake avifauna is also well present. And for the sportsmen, a course of health close to the arrival will await you.
Itinerary

  • Step 1 :

    From the car park at Lake Serres-Castet, turn right onto the track that leads down to the lake. Turn right onto the track that runs along the bank upstream. This track follows the upstream dyke and then joins another track coming in from the right.

  • Step 2 :

    At this junction, turn left, still following the riverbank. The path curves around the edge of a wooded area.

  • Step 3 :

    200 metres further on, opposite the dam

  • Step 4 :

    take the track on the left that runs along the ridge.

  • Step 5 :

    At the end of the dam, turn left onto the track that leads to the lake shore and, 500 metres further on, back to the starting point, which you reach by going back up the short track you took on the way there.

    30-hectare irrigation lake, mainly home to carp, pikeperch, pike, perch and roach. Night fishing for carp is permitted on the lake, but fishing from boats is prohibited.
