A long descent through woodland, before passing close to the church in Astis. The programme for this hike includes a track through a cool forest, crossing the ford of the small Basta stream, a winding and uneven path, a farm plateau and greenhouses that will accompany you along the way. An easy loop with a slight gradient.
Itinerary

  • Step 1 :

    You can also start this walk in Astis. From Argelos, head south along the road opposite the church for 250 m, then turn left. Take the track down into a cool forest and ford the small stream (le Basta). Stay on the left-hand track and follow a winding, uneven path up to the top of the hill.

  • Step 2 :

    Turn right onto the road to Astis; you should see its bell tower. Take the street in the housing development, then turn right in front of the church. Follow the paved road across the farmland, turning right at the first intersection.

  • Step 3 :

    Turn right to return to Argelos, then left at the next intersection.

  • Step 4 :

    Walk alongside the greenhouses along the RD 214 for a few metres before turning right at the fork to return to Argelos church.
