Itinerary

  • Step 1 :

    From the center of Argelos, head north on the road leading to the Cassou farm, then turn right onto the road that descends gently into the Luy de France valley, which has been used by the A65 motorway since 2011. Cross the bridge over the motorway towards the sawmill and the Larrieu mill.

  • Step 2 :

    Cross the RD208 to reach the village of Viven, turning left at the town hall. Head south, crossing the RD208 again, then the bridge over the A65 towards a long gravel track leading to the wooden footbridges over the St Peyrus stream. Continue straight ahead on the tarmac road to reach the dam dyke, which you follow to reach the Argelos woods, following the signposts (the track through the meadow is private property).

  • Step 3 :

    Turn left to reach the gravel track, then left again at the first junction. Once at the top, turn right towards the houses, then left twice on the tarmac road.

  • Step 4 :

    Turn right and stay on the main road, which will take you back to the centre of Argelos, turning right at the second crossroads.
