The circuit, with the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Cabidos, offers you a nice view on the vineyards of the Manor of Trubessé (Castle of Cabidos)
Before or after your walk, don't hesitate to go to the domain of Cabidos (road to the town hall) and the domain of L'Escudé (behind the church) then let yourself be guided in the world of oenology.
Itinerary
  • Step 1 :

    Departure from Cabidos church Departure from the church car park in Cabidos. The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is open to the public, offers a lovely view of the vineyards and countryside. Go down to the town hall and turn right. A little further on, take the dirt track on the right at the bottom of the downhill bend.
  • Step 2 :

    Continue along the path and descend through the Cabidos forest estate, which continues as far as a stream. Go back up the path on the left.
  • Step 3 :

    Turn right for an uninterrupted view of the countryside. Backtrack and head towards "Couloumère" in the commune of Malaussanne. There, from the road, on your right, you will discover all the know-how of our ancestors (17th-century farmhouse).
  • Step 4 :

    Fancy a break ? Let yourself be tempted by the local produce from Délices du Luy de France. You can sample them 200 m further along the road, at the Malaussanne-Montagut rest area on the banks of the Luy de France (toilet, water point). Return to the Délices du Luy de France farm and pick up the trail again.
  • Step 5 :

    Follow the signs to "Gnan" (Délices du Luy de France). Looking for a break? Let yourself be tempted by the local produce of Délices du Luy de France. Then you can taste them 200 m further along the road, at the equipped area in Malaussanne-Montagut, on the banks of the Luy de France (toilet, water point). Return to the Délices du Luy de France farm and pick up the trail again. Not tired? Then turn left onto the gravel path and then the dirt track to the next picnic area at Cabidos, on the banks of the Luy de France.
  • Step 6 :

    After the aire, turn left and get ready for the climb through the forest to the Cabidos town hall and church. And there you are!

    The Château de Cabidos estate has a very old family wine-growing tradition. family winegrowing tradition. Since 1992, more than 9 hectares have once again been given over to vines: 7.30 hectares of "Petit Manseng" to produce white wines.   • L'Escudé wine estate (Tasting)

    Laurent and Murielle are passionate about vines and wine. They set about drawing up plans, looking for opportunities to produce a quality wine that they could afford. In 2004, after renting out old plots of vines that had not yet been grubbed up, they began producing their first vintages of Escudé wine in the old chicken coop.

  • Les Délices du Luy de France (Tasting)

  • 19th century funerary stele. (Rural heritage)

    Stele with a hammer and anvil decoration on the face deposited in the the church. Rebuilt between 1896 and 1901, it houses 6 stained glass windows.

  • Couloumère Farm (Heritage)

    The 1st level is made of pebbles, the 2nd is timber-framed and filled with brick, while the 3rd is filled with cob. A bread oven is built into the left-hand side wall.
