This bucolic walk reveals magnificent hills and their vineyards of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh. The views of the country are of the greatest attraction!
Step 1 :
The totem pole is located in front of La Poste, place du fronton. Walk down the street towards the D13. Cross the road (be careful of traffic) and walk along the roadside to the right onto a grassy lane on the left, just in front of a house. Descend to a track and turn right. When you reach a vineyard, turn left off the main path and head up towards the Lisau. Cross the river by fording or on the footbridge, and then climb up to the top of the hillside through the undergrowth.Step 2 :
Follow the track to the left, as the landscape between the vines opens out onto the surrounding valleys. At the crossroads, go straight ahead, then leave the Pierrette and Poujarrabe path. There is an option for accessing the landscape reading table. At the crossroads, enter the field on the right, walk alongside it on the left, then turn right to reach the summit and climb back down. After 50 m, turn right onto a downhill path just opposite a house. Walk along the grassy path (very nice view of Conchez-de-Béarn) and continue straight on until you reach a small road.Step 3 :
Go left and walk alongside the pond, continue on a false flat rising. At the junction with the D13, watch out for traffic. Cross the road and climb between the vines. At a red brick building, turn left. Go past the lake and up to the right, where the path descends to an intersection.Step 4 :
Fork right and follow the ridge line on the local road. When you reach the main road (take care), turn right into the village. At the entrance to Conchez-de-Béarn, turn right up the street towards the town hall.
