The lake is ideal for walking, fishing and picnicking (tables available on the south-west shore).
Step 1 :
Take the path at the back of the car park after the wooden barrier. The dirt track runs alongside the reservoir.Step 2 :
Observation point for discreetly watching water birds (coots, grebes, etc.). Continue along the track northwards through a pine forest.Step 3 :
Take the path on the right that climbs above the reservoir. Join a tarmac road and follow it for 100 m. Take a path on the right that descends along the canalised watercourse. Join and then cross the footbridge and continue along the track.Step 4 :
At the first junction, turn left and stay on the flat track (do not climb onto the dam). Continue along the dirt track at the foot of the embankment until you reach a junction opposite some farm buildings.Step 5 :
Turn left onto the track. At the next intersection, turn right and continue along the main path until you reach a place called ‘Labaquère’. Continue straight ahead on the Labaquère path.Step 6 :
Continue straight ahead on the Lannes path. At the junction with the RD 201, turn left and continue to the village of Momas. Pass the town hall and 50 m further on, turn right onto Chemin des Vignottes. Continue along the dirt track which passes at the foot of a private property and then descends rapidly into the valley. At the crossroads after crossing the stream, take the track on the right.Step 7 :
Leave the flat track and take the path that climbs towards a house with a pink façade, known as ‘Arrouzé’. At the junction with the tarmac road, turn left, then 50 m further on, turn right onto a path that descends to the bottom of the valley. You will reach a place called ‘Hourquet’.Step 8 :
Cross the hamlet and take the track opposite. Continue straight on along the main path. At the junction with the tarmac road, turn left, pass through the hamlet of Crampé and join the RD 216. At the junction, take the Cappouey road opposite. Cross the bridge and continue straight on along the tarmac road through the hamlet of Cappouey until you reach the RD 716. At the junction, take the dirt track opposite.Step 9 :
A track joins from the right. Continue on the left and then, less than 50 m further on, turn right onto a path that runs alongside a deep ditch. Continue through farmland, then at the edge of the woods, take a path that branches off to the right and joins the RD 201. On the tarmac road, turn left, cross the reservoir and return to the car park.
