Ah, spring! The sun is making a comeback! The days are getting longer, and the light is getting softer and warmer. It’s the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy the outdoors and recharge your batteries. It’s the season of renewal, when nature comes back to life and offers us enchanting landscapes.
By the way, when is spring? From March 20 to June 20.

Try to spot the European pond terrapin on the banks of the Arlas river in Serres-Castet. Discover the diversity of flora and fauna in the Vallon du Manas in Ger, the wet moorlands of the Bois de la Seube in Mazerolles or the Loumagne wetland in Garlin, via interpretation trails.
From mid-April to the end of June, the brightly-colored wild orchids dotting the Vic-Bilh hillsides are a feast for the eyes! During your walk, observe and have fun recognizing them thanks to the interpretation panels at Lespielle and Castetpugon.
Historical treasures
Explore the Castle of Morlanne, built by Gaston Fébus, and the Castle of Mascaraàs, with its dozen richly decorated rooms and Italian garden.
Embark on a journey into the life of the local inhabitants during Antiquity at the Gallo-Roman Museum in Claracq, and visit the villa at Lalonquette, which is revealed through a contemporary interpretation rich in information.
Discover the museographic space at the Maison du jambon de Bayonne in Arzacq-Arraziguet, permanent exhibitions on old farming tools in Garlin, leatherworking in Pontacq, heritage collections in Morlaàs and the Micro-Folie digital museum in Montardon.
Wander through bastide towns and authentic villages.
Visit churches rich in Romanesque remains and Baroque furnishings.Sainte-Foy church in Morlaàs is a must-see.
Learn the secrets of milling at the Conchez-de-Béarn water mill. Be amazed by a 170 m-long underground cellar dug into the hillside where old wine bottles are stored!

Grab your basket and stroll through our markets, where you’ll find plenty of opportunities to meet producers. And a word of advice: choose seasonal fruit and vegetables.
