Yippee, it’s vacation time!

Ah, summer at last! The sun is shining brightly, the days are stretching out and the heat is enveloping us warmly. It’s the perfect time of year to savor the pleasures of outdoor living and enjoy the long summer evenings to the full.

The landscapes, bathed in light, reveal all their beauty between golden fields, lush vineyards and refreshing forests.

Whether for a nature getaway, a gourmet break or a moment of relaxation, summer is an invitation to travel.

By the way, when is summer? From June 21 to September 21.

Nature break

Enjoy a haven of coolness in the heart of our natural spaces.

Stroll through the garden at Viven castle, which has been awarded the “Remarkable Garden” label. Be curious and chat with Mickäel from Morlanne’s experimental epicurean garden.

Try to spot the European pond terrapin on the banks of the Arlas river in Serres-Castet. Discover the diversity of flora and fauna in the Vallon du Manas in Ger, the wet moorlands of the Bois de la Seube in Mazerolles or the Loumagne wetland in Garlin, via interpretation trails.

Vineyard land

Did you know? At the end of June, the vine enters its flowering phase, marking the blossoming of the flowers. These gradually fade to make way for the first grapes, a phenomenon known as nouaison. Throughout the summer, two stages of growth follow one another: veraison, when the grapes take on their full color, and maturation, during which they become enriched with sugar, their acidity diminishes and their aromas fully develop. At the end of September, it’s time to harvest the dry white grapes.

Discover our exceptional vineyards, including the famous Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, as well as the Béarn appellation and Comté Tolosan in Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

Come and meet the winemakers who welcome you to their estates for unique moments of sharing and conviviality. Enjoy guided tours of the estates, vineyards and cellars. Let yourself be seduced by wine tasting, immersive oenotourism experiences and viticultural animations.

Playground & recreation area

Come and explore our many hiking, mountain-biking and horse-riding trails. Choose morning outings or shady circuits. Experience Compostela on one of our pilgrimage routes, and why not meet someone you know.

Try your hand at fun activities such as Tèrra Aventura treasure hunts, Randoland treasure hunts, Zoé la Curieuse discovery game, escapes games, indoor and outdoor amusement parks, and try your hand at 9-pin bowling. Experience immersive adventures in a magical corn maze, and take part in the nocturnes by headlamp light.

Discover other leisure activities such as water sports on the Lac of Gabas and in white water, fishing in the lake or river, or horse-riding or horse-drawn carriage rides. Take to the skies with our aerial activities.

Crafts

Immerse yourself in a world where creativity and know-how come to life under the expert hands of passionate craftsmen.

From the finesse of porcelain designs to the softness of mohair and fleece, from the authenticity of pottery to the poetry of decorative objects in wood and natural materials, each piece tells a unique story.

Discover workshops in sewing, art framing and many other disciplines. Meet these inspiring craftsmen, watch demonstrations, take part in workshops or be seduced by original creations in a concept store dedicated to French craftsmanship.
